Target will bring Levi’s denim merchandise to 150 additional stores by the end of 2026. The expansion brings the total number of Target locations selling Levi’s nationwide to over 1,000 stores.

The mass retailer debuted a refreshed Levi’s assortment this month that includes best sellers and trend-forward styles. Target will grow its Levi’s women’s assortment by nearly 20% year over year in spring 2026. Most styles are priced under $60.

The expansion represents a significant milestone in one of Target’s longest-standing national partnerships. Target first carried Levi’s jeans in 1976 and reintroduced the brand in 2011. The retailer began selling the red tab line in 2019 in just 50 stores, expanding to 500 the following year.

“Guests turn to Target to find the styles, brands, and value they love, which is why our partnership with Levi’s is so important,” says Gena Fox, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target. “Through our partnership, we’re growing Target’s denim business by delivering exactly what our guests want: on-trend style, exceptional quality, and unmatched value.”

Since introducing red tab items, Target has sold more than one million pairs of Levi’s jeans. Denim is a strong category at Target, with sales growth and market share gains in 2025.

The expansion is part of a new merchandising strategy under CEO Michael Fiddelke, who formally took the reins this month. Target doubled its new merchandise for the recent holiday period and announced in January it will add 60 new brands to its beauty assortment.

For Levi’s, the wholesale expansion comes as parent company Levi Strauss & Co. focuses on direct-to-consumer sales channels. The company reported fourth quarter DTC revenues grew 8% while wholesale declined 5%. DTC now represents approximately half of total business.

“Our expansion with Target reflects the momentum behind our lifestyle assortment, the strength of our partnership and our commitment to reaching Levi’s fans wherever they choose to shop,” said Heidi Manes, SVP and managing director of Levi’s U.S. and Canada.

Levi’s brand performance showed 7% growth in fiscal 2025, remaining the top denim brand globally. The company holds more market share than the next two largest competitors combined.
