Quick Facts
- Over 3,700 Ace Hardware locations across all 50 states now offer delivery through Uber Eats
- The service launched April 7, 2026, following a September 2025 partnership with DoorDash
- Customers can schedule orders or request immediate delivery with real-time tracking
Ace Hardware launched on-demand delivery through Uber Eats at more than 3,700 locations nationwide. The partnership marks the first time a major hardware cooperative has fully integrated with a national third-party delivery platform.
The service went live April 7, allowing customers to order hardware, tools, and home improvement supplies through the Uber Eats app. Customers can schedule deliveries or request immediate fulfillment with real-time tracking.
“Ace is built on a network of locally-owned stores that are deeply rooted in the communities they serve, and partnering with Uber allows us to meet our customers wherever they are,” said Bill Kiss, Head of Digital at Ace Hardware.
This follows Ace Hardware’s September 2025 partnership with DoorDash, which made 4,000 locations available for same-day delivery. The company now offers dual-platform delivery options across its network of locally owned stores.
Uber welcomed more than 1,000 new retailers globally in 2025 and added over 50,000 retail locations across the United States to its platform. The expansion beyond food delivery includes home improvement, beauty, and electronics categories.
“We’re proud to welcome Ace Hardware’s extensive network and loyal customers to our platform as we continue to expand the selection available to shoppers on Uber Eats,” said Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail for Uber in North America.
The last-mile delivery market reached $199.68 billion in 2026, growing 8.4% from 2025. The sector is projected to reach $277.76 billion by 2030 as retailers respond to consumer demand for flexible delivery options.
For independent hardware store owners, the partnership signals increased competition in rapid delivery services. The agreement positions Ace Hardware to compete with retail giants like Amazon and Walmart in delivery speed and convenience.
Consumer expectations have shifted toward immediate fulfillment, with 61% of shoppers abandoning carts when delivery options lack flexibility. The partnership allows Ace Hardware to meet these demands without investing in proprietary delivery infrastructure.
