FaceGym Launches UK Franchise Model Targeting 28 Studios in Three Years

Quick Facts

  • FaceGym opened four UK franchise studios in Cambridge, Richmond, London, and Manchester
  • The company targets 28 UK studios over three years and 25 India locations over five years
  • Fiscal 2025 revenue hit £7.53 million ($10.1 million) with losses dropping to £1.41 million

FaceGym has launched its first UK franchise studios as part of an aggressive international expansion strategy. The facial fitness brand opened four locations: Grand Arcade Cambridge, George Street Richmond, Broadgate Liverpool Street in London, and Manchester King Street.

The company plans to open 28 UK studios over the next three years through its new franchise model. CEO Angelo Castello said the franchise approach will “enable us to accelerate our footprint expansion in both our domestic markets and internationally.”

FaceGym secured a strategic minority investment from India’s Reliance Retail Ventures Limited in 2025, which enabled this franchise expansion. The partnership includes plans to open 25 locations across India over the next five years.

The franchise model represents a significant strategic shift for the London-based company. Facegym Ltd reported fiscal 2025 revenue of £7.53 million ($10.1 million), with annual losses falling to £1.41 million ($1.9 million) from £4.29 million ($5.8 million) the previous year.

Membership pricing ranges from £77 ($104) per month for single studio access to £95 ($128) per month for nationwide access. Founding memberships for the first 99 members cost £62 ($83) monthly in Cambridge and Manchester, and £70 ($94) monthly in Richmond and Broadgate.

The company operates 15 studios across London, Manchester, Oxford, New York City, and Los Angeles with 112 employees. Studios generate the majority of revenue rather than product sales, which dropped 20-50% in 2024 to $4.1 million.

Castello emphasized selective franchise partner selection. “What’s critical for us is partnering with operators who not only bring strong knowledge of the local market, but who truly understand and believe in the FACEGYM methodology,” he said.

FaceGym has already opened its first India studio through Reliance Retail-owned Tira in Mumbai. The company plans expansion into Europe, starting with Italy, and aims to enter Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East.

The franchise launch follows several years of formalizing treatment protocols and studio standards. The typical franchise launch process takes 6-9 months and includes comprehensive training on facial workout techniques and operational procedures.
