Oner Active Expects Creator Workforce to Generate $52 Million in Sales This Year

Quick Facts

  • Oner Active projects $52 million in creator-driven sales from its Move Ambassadors program out of $280 million total revenue
  • The program receives 30,000 applications each cycle but only selects 100 ambassadors who receive salary plus commission
  • Top-performing ambassadors are making millions per year through the exclusive partnership model

Oner Active expects its creator workforce to generate $52 million in sales this year, representing nearly 19% of the activewear brand’s projected $280 million total revenue.

The London-based company’s Move Ambassadors program operates differently than typical influencer partnerships. Selected creators receive exclusive brand deals, earn salaries, and collect commission on sales they drive.

The program demonstrates exceptional selectivity and performance. Oner Active receives about 30,000 applications each time the program opens, but only chooses 100 ambassadors to receive activewear sets. These 100 selected creators generated 16 million social media impressions.

Some ambassadors are earning millions annually through the program. The company’s approach focuses on integrating creator communities with Oner’s brand ecosystem rather than one-off partnerships.

“Our best ambassador is Kelly Matthews. She has a community on her own and we come in and integrate that into the Oner community. We’ll take her 1.5 million community members and bring them into the Oner community,” said founder Krissy Cela.

The strategy has delivered strong financial results. Oner Active grew gross revenue to $107.6 million in 2024 from $61.3 million in 2023. The company recorded $11.2 million in profits and achieved its biggest Black Friday week ever, growing 118% year-over-year to nearly $16 million.

From May 2023 to April 2024, consistent creators generated $82.8 million in Earned Media Value for Oner Active, representing 75% of the brand’s annual total. The company pulled in $117.4 million total EMV during this period, with $108.2 million coming from Instagram.

The business remains bootstrapped with Cela retaining 50% ownership. The company has 71 employees, 87% of whom are women, and grew headcount by 41% last year.

Oner Active plans retail expansion with its first store opening in New York City later this year, followed by locations in Los Angeles and Miami. The brand sells in seven markets globally, with core audiences in the US (45%) and UK (19%).
