Financial Performance Drives Market Disruption
SHEIN brought in approximately $964.2 million in sales on TikTok in 2024, claiming the top spot as the number one selling clothing brand on TikTok Shop. Approximately 65% of Alo’s revenue comes from e-commerce, and its Alo Moves digital platform has more than 300,000 subscribers paying $20 monthly.
TALA reported a 19% increase in revenue to $26.7 million, with social media growth playing a key role as follower numbers across Instagram and TikTok increased by more than 115,000.

Legacy brands are responding to the competitive pressure. Nike partnered with Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand for activewear, while brands like Adidas and Gymshark invest resources in updating sports bras to win female customers.
The global activewear market was valued at $434 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $675 billion by 2034. Brands building TikTok Shop infrastructure now position themselves to own the category as the platform fundamentally changes how consumers discover and purchase activewear.
