Industry Data Points Signal Adoption

The conference marked AI’s shift from experimental to operational status across retail. Presenters described live production systems generating measurable revenue and reducing costs at scale.
Trust Remains Central Theme
Despite automation advances, trust emerged as the dominant conference theme. The value of human judgment and peer-driven discovery is rising alongside AI capabilities.
Zia Daniell Wigder, Global President of Shoptalk, said the agenda addressed the industry’s most significant technological shift in decades. The consensus showed that retailers investing in AI now will present results at future conferences while others continue planning.
