Stitch Fix expanded its Vision AI platform on July 2, adding a ‘See it on me’ feature that lets clients generate personalized outfit images on demand. Previously, Vision sent weekly outfit images to users. Now clients can trigger new images at any point during the Freestyle shopping experience.
To use the feature, clients upload a selfie through the Stitch Fix app. The platform generates images of the client wearing recommended outfits based on their style profile, shopping history, and current fashion trends. Results are stored in a personal Vision gallery.
‘Personalization has always been at the heart of the Stitch Fix experience, and we’re building toward a future where clients can see themselves reflected throughout every step of their shopping journey,’ said CEO Matt Baer.
The company says Vision goes beyond existing virtual try-on tools by building full outfits rather than previewing individual items. The images place clients in lifestyle environments and require no manual assembly by the shopper.
Stitch Fix first announced Vision on Oct. 6, 2025, as a generative AI style visualization tool in beta. The company also runs a conversational AI Style Assistant, available in its iOS app, that uses each client’s StyleFile data to help them define and refine their preferences.
Financial Performance
The Vision expansion follows a strong third quarter for the company. Stitch Fix reported Q3 FY2026 revenue of $340.3 million, above Wall Street’s forecast of $332.56 million. The result marked the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth on an adjusted basis.
Active clients grew by 21,000 sequentially to 2.3 million. Revenue per active client hit a record $578. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $13.2 million, a 3.9% margin, with free cash flow of $6.5 million and no debt. Gross margin was 43.7%. The company raised its full-year outlook following the results.
Shares of Stitch Fix (NASDAQ: SFIX) rose 2.3% on the day Vision’s expansion was announced.
Leadership and Technology Roadmap
In mid-June, Stitch Fix named Sree Sreedhararaj as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer. Sreedhararaj previously held roles at Walmart Labs, Sephora, and Ipsy. He will oversee technology, product, data science, security, and IT teams.
The company is also applying generative AI to the design and development of its private label brands, using trend signals to speed up how it brings new styles to clients.
Baer said the platform draws on billions of data points about client preferences, combined with generative AI and input from human stylists, to deliver personalization at scale. The company positions its approach as distinct from standard virtual try-on tools because the AI constructs complete, shoppable outfit recommendations rather than letting shoppers mix and match individual pieces.
